Webmaster's Note: Phyllis Brooks was one of the many beautiful ladies that Ty took out. Before Cary Grant dated Phyllis Brooks, he had seen her at a party as Ty's date and couldn't keep his eyes off her. Ty became romantically involved with his Suez co-star, Annabella, whom he later married April 23, 1939, just about the time this magazine was going to press. Phyllis was second female lead in Ty's film, In Old Chicago. Cary Grant dated her for awhile before he moved on. He married his second wife, Barbara Hutton, (second of five wives) in 1942. Phyllis Brooks married Congressman Torbert H. Macdonald in 1945, and they were married until his death in 1976.
