Webmaster's Note: I found this article of particular interest because it was written by Elsa Maxwell, who was a well-known hostess (dubbed "The Hostess with the Mostest") and party giver during the golden era of Hollywood. She entertained Hollywood personalities, on grand scale, in America, as well as in Europe. Tyrone Power was among her guests on several occasions. She also entertained other prominent personalities, including royalty. Maxwell was an author, a writer of a few movies, a columnist, and host of the radio show "Elsa Maxwell's Party Line".
